A very Original and Unique Merry Christmas…

Monday, December 17th, 2007

Ho . . . Ho . . . Ho . . ., originally uploaded by bebalance.

The Christmas celebrations are going to be sooner that we think as time seems to pass quicker, especially for children awaiting their school holidays, and the presents they’ve been dreaming for :) But, it is not only children that are getting their presents, and mine arrived today :) Yes my friends, today I did receive the Canon EOS 40D SLR camera, and am so glad to have finally this camera :)

A friend of mine, Dan, also called bebalance on Flickr.com is one of the best rock and stones balancing artists that I have ever seen. The shots he presents daily on Flickr are mostly set on videos too, and these could be watched at youtube.com.

Especially for Christmas Dan has balanced Santa on top of his latest work of ZEN art, and here you can see it for yourself.

Wishing you a great week ahead my friends and a safe and Merry Christmas with your family and dear once. I’ll take sometime off in order to learn how to make the best possible shots with my new camera, and will post just before Christmas again. Talk to you soon :)

Totally-Useless was tagged…and a new day ahead

Monday, November 26th, 2007

As the title is stating, Totally-Useless was tagged by Devon on his blog . So, I will have to write 7 weird facts about myself and then tag 7 more bloggers to do the same.

These are the rules: Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here we go than with the 7 weird facts about myself:

1) Getting easily bored when things to do become routine, so I ditch whatever it is that is boring me and start working – doing something new. My motto behind it is – Life is too short to stay bored :)
2) Unable to finish writing my 1st and only book – it is either a writers block or this book is worthless.
3) Hate and fear pain, and being ill.
4) Would love to be able to do bungee jumping, para gliding and sky diving, but in order to do that I will need to have some expensive devices around my knees and ancles, or I will break my leggs while landing.
5) Dream about traveling among the stars, and at times these dreams are very realistic.
6) When I feel happy a conversation with me is lighter than air, more delicious than candy, and as entertaining as the Matrix trilogy, or even more than that…
7) Love to keep myself busy with paradoxes and alchemy.

These are the blogs and their bloggers that I am tagging:

Bob and his blog Blackholes and Astrostuff
Uri and his blog Urikalization
Michael and his blog After Midnight
Hungry Mother and his blog Random Thoughts
JJ Loch and her blog Nature Shows
Divas and the blog DrDivas
Kham Tran and the blog with the same name KhamTran.com

With the photo above (taken by yours trully) I wish you all an awesome week ahead and talk to you soon :)

Happy Blog Action Day for the Environment

Monday, October 15th, 2007

For most of us the environment is a very important topic. Today is an Action Blog Day and you could read more about it on BlogActionDay.org

Maybe you wonder what could you do to preserve the environment and to not be part of the ever increasing problem world-wide? In our household we are using green electricity. We also have the house very well isolated and use as little as possible heating. Also, all the lamps we use in our house are of the energy saving lamp type. If each and everyone of us will choose to preserve the environment and do their best to use less energy I think we will be one step closer to preserving our Earth from warming up too much and too soon. Every bit helps people.

See this incredible image here.

And think please of what would you sacrifice to keep this beauty alive for the following generations. Also, try to imagine our Earth no longer providing us with the beautiful air that we are breathing, and look at when we watch the sky at sunset or at sunrise? Think please, and while thinking start doing something about it. No matter how small it might seem to you. It counts!

Swiss afternoon, originally uploaded by moonjazz.

Being back to my blog and to writing after a few days of rest is like having been on a short trip without the notebook, or without an Internet connection. It’s kind of like having been to the mountains in Swiss, like on this awesome shot here. But I wasn’t there, and never left home. The new cat that we adopted gave me a big scratch and nearly took my right eye off. Not much damage was done but due to the scratches and the pain I had – I didn’t want to do the writing and reading with the use of only my left eye.

Sylvester

Here is a photo of Sylvester for you to see. He is huge really, and twice as heavy when compared to my other 6 cats. He is very, very sweet, polite and loving, except for when other cats interfere with the attention he is getting. He is not used to sharing HIS humans. But I hope all will be solved with time as I really want to keep him here.

Last Friday (just before the eye scratching occurred) I read a very funny but disturbing article about the 3 years old boy driving along highway with a toy Mustand GT -
that I wanted to share with you here, while wishing you a great week ahead :)
Talk to you soon.

The truth about Puppy Mills – Totally Scandalous!

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

In fact I do not own a dog but I do have 7 cats. Today I took from the shelter the 7th one. And you might ask why am I mentioning it? Because I did not buy the cat via a site on the Internet, nor did I buy it from a pet shop. I went to the shelter in my town last Saturday and after a careful consideration, I decided together with my partner in taking one of these poor cats.

Today I also came across a site explaining all the wrong doings of the puppy mill industry, where the breeders have dogs producing litter after litter, after litter, adding to the pet population problem with each one of these. So sad actually but true.

A friend of mine from MyLot pointed me to the above site, and I was shaken after viewing the video there. Please go to the STOP Puppy Mills site and watch the short video that exposes the cruelty of puppy mill dog auctions. You will learn the truth about the puppy mills, and how inhumane the puppy mill industry actually is.

And here is an other good video for you

Talk to you soon for discussing yet an other Totally Uselless human behavior…
