Is this a form of Child Abuse?

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

The following video of a mother which is literally dragging her child across a Verizon shop’s floor on leash is already a sensation on the Internet. What do you think? Is this a form of child abuse as some are claiming, or is it highly overblown according to you?

My own opinion about it is – not something that I will ever do even if my child is enjoying it.

How to Keep Your Domain Names Safe, and Privacy vs Transparency…

Monday, July 6th, 2009

Today on Blog Catalog the owner of GoSmellTheFlowers.com posted about the theft of his just mentioned domain name. And you could read his story and how this hostage of his domain name happened on his GoSmellTheCoffee.com site.

If you take the time to go and absorb the story and comments on GoSmellTheCoffee.com – you will probably learn a lot about what not to do in order to protect the ownership of your domains. And you also might ask yourself if it was necessary to go public with the private info of all concerned in this matter? The answer is an obvious “No” – for me at least, as one never knows how many scammers and folks with bad intentions are reading all of it.

And while the story was unfolding, a newly written article by Michel Fortin – Don’t Be Transparent, Be Authentic Instead – was published on his blog, that goes about transparency and how much of it is more than enough. A highly recommended post and definitely one to read.

Enjoy your summer and keep yourself, and your domain names, and private life safe…

Susan Boyle goes to the Semi Finals

Monday, May 25th, 2009

Susan Boyle did it again and she is the #1 and up for the Semi Final of Britain’s Got Talent. For a moment my heart stopped beating when she had some tough time in the beginning of the song, but she got herself back soon enough and did it again – the angelical voice of Susan will probably earn her the Final as well…

Here is a link to the “Memories are made of this” video on itv.com. And here is her reaction on the 1st place. There was no embed video option so I could only copy both the links for you here. But of course – youTube got it, so you will not have to surf to itv.com if you don’t want to 🙂

Bloggers Unite For Hunger And Hope – Today, April 29th 2009

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Such an event as the Bloggers Unite For Hunger And Hope Can Never BE totally useless. But what is there to do, and what can be done to fight the hunger – except for writing about it you might ask. It all depends on your possibilities and on your consciousness.

Many of us are making a donation. Others are helping various organizations with their time and work for free. Others yet create and donate their works, or the income from these to organizations worldwide.

And I am a firm believer that a change of consciousness will be able to cease the hunger. There is enough production of food to feed all of us, but the “powers” are the once preventing it to be spread equally, and without the “usual gain” for them.
Whatever you choose to do in order to contribute your part in the fight against hunger, do it wholeheartedly and it will make you feel rich :).

My own contribution went to WFP – World Food Programme as I believe in the United Nations organization and how they make use of the available funds in these especially tough times with the soaring food prices .

And to close this post in the spirit of Hope I’d like to share this awesome video with you. This documentary: Playing For Change: Peace Through Music on Barry Goss and Heather Vale Goss’s blog, in which he wrote about the idea and work that inspired and started the movement of Award Winning Film Director Mark Johnson, and why Mark Johnson is his hero #2.

The Playing For Change Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting the world by building music and art schools equipped with cameras and recording studios in communities around the world. Set the volume on and play it right now – it gave me goose bumps and some tears… as it is so very inspiring and heart touching – beautiful beyond words! And music is the uniting force for us people 😉

Others Being Able To Read What’s on Our Mind?

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Last week I read a post on Dr. Mercola’s blog about this new technology, and I wasn’t exactly sure if this is such a good thing. Technology is a great thing that makes our life much easier than it would be without it. However, since I am a person that is very much attached to the personal freedom I am born with – certain technologies only seem to take this freedom from me, or at least the ability to know that there are my thoughts – that should be totally private and sacred, that are now questionably free…

Watch CBS Videos Online

Thus, I am very much questioning the use of this new technology and what the consequences of it will be for us. What’s your opinion in regards, and would you care to share?

8 Days to Go…

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Strange title calls for an explanation I guess. On the 26th of January will be the Chinese New Year and the feeling of being too tired should be done with after this date. How do I know it? It has to do with the Chinese Horoscope and I was told to expect to be feeling much stronger and soon.

Happy New 2009 to you all and I have been recovering since my last post here. Lots and lots of sleep has done wonders and the pneumonia, and the water surrounding my heart have not left anythig damaged inside my body, excerpt for a small scar – which is not anything to worry about.

...two, but beating as one...

Now it’s time to pick myself up and start working, and studying, and writing again. Thank you for your visits and nice comments and I will be paying visits back for sure. And have a great week ahead you all 🙂
