“Carve a tunnel of hope through the dark mountain of disappointment.”
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Almost two months ago, on October the 6th 2011, I got the terrible news of having breast cancer. Such a shocking and disappointing news indeed is never easy to comprehend, or accept. It’s also not easy to explain the anger, and sadness that goes on inside me. And obviously I want to win the battle against cancer and remain among the living for many years to come. So I started reading and searching online and offline all the info that is available about the cancer that I have – Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma (IDC), with lymph nodes in the armpit involved.
The treatment suggested by the surgeon is chemotherapy followed by surgery and, than radiation. I declined such harsh treatments due to the possibility of getting pneumonia very easily. My immune system is almost non existent and because I suffer often from flue’s and pneumonia’s, each year. I decided to try various non harsh alternative treatments such as a specific diet combined with the Budwig protocol, vitamins such as B17, and joga.
On the 20th of December I will have another echography test which will show how well my cancer has reacted on the therapies that I am using, or not. The best outcome will be that the tumors have become smaller, and in such a case the treatment will prove to be successful. In the case that the tumors have grown, or remained the same – I will have to reconsider everything and probably agree with the surgeon and oncologist and accept their method of healing.
To my friends and readers – please, pray for me!
