Yesterday was one of those days that I am taking all for myself and choose to go around with my beloved MR2 beauty, the music on, and my new camera. While driving around I visited a nice old town – Elburg and here are some pictures that I made there. Will be back with more – useless – or useful stuff soon. And don’t forget to enjoy whatever you’re doing, and to have a great week ahead :)

The train on Technorati for us all :)

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

On one of the blogs that I am reading today I found a way to get higher rankings on Technorati. Lylly Feel Happy writes about the Technorati Train and I decided to follow her. Thank you Lilly. This is really an easy way to get more exposure and is definitely most useful as opposed to totally useless :)

Please follow the guidelines and be fair, by doing it - all great things will start happening after you do your part!

IF YOU WANT A HIGHER TECHNORATI RATING – TELL ME! GET ON BOARD!

It’s easy and worth it. If you want to move up in Technorati there are 2 ways to get there: gaining massive amounts of links to you from other blogs, or getting the most favourites. One thing you can do is get lots of favourites who favourite you in return! Before you start you may want to grab this supercool autofave program from Eng Tech. All the people who have favourited you, this automatically favourites them in return. No more excuses for not returning the favour! Automatic Technorati Fave program the coolest program ever! Finds fans that have favorited you and automatically favorites them!
grab the program here [2.4MB].(Reword the following paragraph a little. The Lilly link should be changed to link to who you got this from {Thefortunes}.Move the 5 new faves (one is you) to old faves below Gary Lee.

Add 5 new people to new faves. Each name linked to their blog, and Fave the site is the link on their technorati fave widget on their site. AND, name THE WHOLE POST DIFFERENT FROM MINE!)

The time has come for me to get up on the Technorati Fave Train. I was added to the Technorati Fave Train by Janice. The Train was started at Gary Lee.

So, do you want to ride the train? Here are the rules:

1. Write a short introduction paragraph about what how you found the list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list.

2. COPY the Rules and ENTIRE List below and post it to your blog. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can accessible for, go ahead and change the titles of the blog.Just don’t change the links of the blog.

3. Take “My New Faves” and move them into the “The Original Faves” list.

4. Add at least 3 Blogs that you’ve just added to your Technorati Favorites to the “My New Faves” section. Remember to also add the “Fave Me” link next to your new blogs (i.e. http://technorati.com/faves?add=http://www.yourdomain.com)

5. Add Everyone on this list to your Technorati Favorites List by clicking on “Fave the Site.” (Please FAVE EVERYONE on the List prior to posting the list or a Kitten will Die Alone in a Dark Alley Tonight). Those who want good karma will fave you back. If not, you will for sure get the benefits of faves from the bloggers who continue this list after you.

Is summer totally useless for business online?

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

How is your summer going? Do you enjoy your holiday somewhere right now, while having your notebook with you? To check your online income, sales, ad network(s) earnings, and stay in touch with your family and friends? Or are you still in your home town and not planning to take a week or two and enjoy some free and quality time?
Do you buy products on Amazon and, or on eBay? I do and for me does not matter if it summer or winter as I love buying books and some collectors items. Most of the usual customers however stay off line during their holiday, or at least they do not frequent sites to buy things. They enjoy themselves and prefer spending their cash not on the Net, but in the real world. Sales drop during summer for most products and services, or at least this is what I see and hear around. And the same goes for my products on a few auction sites that I use. Most of my sites get fewer visitors thus the ad networks income is less as well.
How is your business online going during summertime? And if we do not earn enough during the slow summer months why should we spend our so precious time in useless busyness? After all life is short and no amount of money could buy lost time back for us. I would hate to feel sorry when I am old and unable to enjoy life even if I can, of why haven’t I taken the time to smell the roses while I was able to… Don’t you feel like this sometimes? Share your thoughts and experiences too please, and talk to you soon :)

When is someone too old?

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Today there was an other story from my favorite list “To a Better day” called: “Too Old?”, that I feel like mentioning in here. Would also like to know what do you think in regards. When is a person too old? There are days when I feel like 100 years old and there are many more that I feel like 22. What is the reason for feeling “too old” and does it has to do with being tired of your lifestyle, or stressed from your work, or from your family members? Come on people, share your thoughts finally, would you please? Talk to you soon and thanks for visiting :)

When asked how it was that she has lived so long,
a 91-year-old woman replied with a smile, “I think
God is testing the patience of my relatives.”

When is “too old”? At what age do we give up? At
100, Grandma Moses was still painting, and even
Titian painted “Battle of Lepants” when he was 98.

At 93, George Bernard Shaw wrote Farfetched
Fables.

At 91, Eamon de Valera served as president of
Ireland.

At 90, Pablo Picasso still drew and engraved.

At 89, Arthur Rubinstein gave one of his greatest
recitals in New York’s Carnegie Hall, and Pablo
Casals, at 88, still performed cello concerts.

At 82, Winston Churchill wrote the four-volume
work, A History of the English-Speaking Peoples,
Leo Tolstoy completed I Cannot Be Silent, and
Goethe, at the same age, finished Faust.

At 81, Benjamin Franklin produced the diplomacy
which led to the adoption of the U.S. Constitution.

When are you “too old”? Only on the day when
you truly have nothing left to give. The good news
is: that day only arrives when you choose.
