Wishful Thinking or Not? It’s All Up to You…
Have you ever procrastinated? And while procrastinating, haven’t you wished to be able to stop with it? Well, I have, and, until now not one program that I followed, has been able to make me stop with it. On the other hand, one simply cannot do what he/she has always done and expect different results – right? So, I am taking the challenge…
Several days ago I received the following email, and I want to share it with you in the hope that this email will make the difference for more procrastinating souls, and not only for myself…
Dear Taty,
The purpose of this note is to share with you a few ideas
that will help ensure that you finish this year with a bang.
You see, for most of my life I’ve pursued what I consider to
be the organizing principles of lasting change, and in this
message I wanted to share two things with you:
1. A three-point plan that you can use immediately to change and
improve your life.
2. Offer you a unique opportunity to fast track your
results. More on that later!
I do believe that the best things in life are free, and that
the best strategies in life are simple. By that I mean,
simple to understand, apply, teach and share with others.
The following three strategies are simple, and they are also
extremely powerful, however, they require consistent and
skillful application in order for your personal strategic
plan to become reality.
These are the exact same changes that an individual must
make in order to create personal change, that a company must
make in order to create a lasting competitive advantage, and
that a community must make in order to best serve its
citizens.
Step One – Raise Your Standards
Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first
thing you must do is to raise your standards.
Simply put you MUST expect and demand more from yourself and
from those around you. That means having zero tolerance for
mediocrity, procrastination, and any behavior that robs you
of potential and increased performance.
Step Two – Change Your Limiting Beliefs
If you raise your standards but don’t really believe you can
meet them, than you’ve already sabotaged yourself. This is
one of the biggest challenges people face when constructing
their personal plan.
Why? Because you won’t even try; you’ll be lacking that
sense of certainty that allows you to tap the deepest
capacity that’s within you even as you read these words.
Our beliefs are like unquestioned commands, telling us how
things are, what’s possible and what’s impossible, what we
can and can not do. They shape every action, every thought,
and every feeling that we experience.
As a result, changing our belief systems is central to
making any real and lasting change in our lives.
Step Three – Change Your Strategy
In order to keep your commitment, you need the best
strategies
for achieving results. One of my core beliefs is that if you
set a higher standard, and you can get yourself to believe,
then you certainly can figure out the strategies. You simply
will find a way.
I can tell you with confidence that the absolute best
strategy in almost any case is to find a role-model, someone
who’s already getting the results you want, and then tap into
their knowledge.
If you don’t have one, you must find a coach or mentor.
Meet Gary Ryan Blair
Gary Ryan Blair is someone I’d like you to meet as he is a
true thought leader and the mastermind behind the 100 Day
Challenge.
Right now, this very instant you are staring down the barrel
of an awesome opportunity to finish the year strong, to
redeem yourself and make the last 100 days of the year, your
best 100 days of the year.
His 100 Day Challenge is designed to provide you with the
information and impetus to
commit to all three of these master principles of quality
change:
1. It will help you raise your standards by discovering what
they currently are and realizing what you want them to be;
2. It will help you change the core beliefs that are keeping
you from where you want to go and enhance those that already
serve you; and
3. It will assist you in developing a series of strategies
for more elegantly, quickly, and efficiently producing the
results you desire.
Are You Ready to Create a Breakthrough?
You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few
people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough–as
you must take action, honor your commitments and enforce
strict discipline.
If you will, please allow Gary Ryan Blair the opportunity,
through this powerful program to be your guide for the next
100 days.
I promise you, it will be one of the best investments you
ever make and he comes with my highest recommendation.
Say YES, and finish the year with a bang!
More power to you,
Tom
And to all of you from me – be always Fabulous…

Excellent suggestions. I think I”ll print this out and tack it to my wall. Perhaps it”ll help me with my horrible habit of putting off my writing!

Great comments,indeed!
Likes the main idea of the whole article…rather interesting point of view….like it,personally!

Oh man, I”m procrastinating like there ain”t no tomorrow!
I”ve written several short stories, but my book is languishing at 200 pages. I”ve left my protagonists stranded in a diner (of all places). Heh…

Really? Your sharing this email with us in the hopes that it will make a difference for us? I think it”s because you”re getting paid to do it, or this vague product is being hawked by someone you know.
There is nothing good about what you do.

I don”t appreciate you trying to pass off an advertisement as a genuine post. It”s unfortunate that you”ve decided to go that route. It makes me think twice about the content on this site.
October 9th, 2009 at 2:23 am
Hey Max, you know, you were the last person that I had in mind while posting this one. It was meant for other people – including myself, and no – I wasn”t paid for it…
October 9th, 2009 at 2:37 am
You know what Eve, or whomever you might be – I don”t appreciate anonymous people coming here to critisize what I do… For your info – I received the email and posted it as it was. Did I have to post in BOLD that if people buy the product someone would earn from this? What is the problem with you? Every product nowadays is making comissions for someone, and so, according to you – no one should buy anything because of it? LOL, you really made my day
And next time you decide to visit – leave your URL – or do not comment…
October 9th, 2009 at 10:12 am
I”m not an “anonymous” person. You have my email and full name. I didn”t leave a URL because I don”t have a blog or anything like that.
It just seems disingenuous to plug some vague “product” that you”ll get a commission from if people buy it. Doing this shows that you consider your readers as a potential means to end (money for you).
As for your copyrighting of your writing on this site, I wouldn”t worry about. No one in their right mind would ever use your material for anything.
October 9th, 2009 at 4:47 pm
Eve, since I don”t know you – your name and email are not making you exactly non anonymous as there must be thousands with the same name. And since I always visit the sites or blogs of people commenting here I know what their interests are. Not so with you though…
Than you criticized a post and keep with it even though I already replied that I am not the one getting a commission for any of the sales coming from it.
Not only, but you are questioning the content of my blog? Can you share how much of this blog did you check, and what is the purpose of all this? And for your info – too much of my content and photography has been used without my concent, or without linking to this blog. So please, think before you leave another “jewel” of a comment here next time…
One thing becomes more than obvious in this case – this blog is totally-useless for you
And while visiting more useful once – have a great weekend!

Hi – very great web site you have created. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a remark to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically delightful. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a newspaper firm. I have always enjoyed functioning with information processing systems and am trying to learn code in my spare time (which there is never enough of lol).
