There are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics…
Mark Twain said, “There are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics.”
When I heard this quote for the 1st time I had to grin. Next thing – I was laughing out loud. And only after having laughed for a good while, I started pondering about it.
Lies, and damned lies have mostly to do with politics. And from there – with power and money. As we are not talking here about the petty lies in our private lives, but in general, and where these lies do concern us all. And trust me. Everything, all the lies, and all the damned lies will remain until we all stand up and overthrow everything concerning politics and the guys who run the world.
So lets go with the statistics. It’s not necessarily a lie, but a statistic is always based on a certain number which is far less than the total. It is a partial truth here, or not? Than it also depends who executed the statistic, and by whom, it was ordered. In such a case we could end with a well constructed lie.
I am giving the word to you now. Stay Fabulous in the coming times…

Lol, love the saying, so true, politics suck. I know all about statistics, they can be a good tool if properly formed and read.

Politicians are noted liars as they can stand in front of the media trying to fool a nation who are so fed up with them that we believe nothing they say, even if it might be true.
I like to hammer them in my opinionatedpensioner blog.
Cheers for now Kassandra, my good buddy.

This is a great site that you have here. I have a site myself where anyone can freely express their opinions towards controversial debate topics. I’m telling you this because I know that you can provide us with some valuable insight. Keep up the good work.

Politics is a game of survival. Once in office, it seems as the if the politicians no longer serve the people, but rather themselves and their need for power. It all starts at joining the HOA and moves on up from there. Once someone has a seat at the table, they’ll say and do anything to stay there.

Politics and lies somehow goes hand in hand. They will be promising you the moon and the skies even if its not possible. There might be some of the chosen few who act for the sake of people but majority acts for profit gained in the office.

Politics and lies are always side by side. Imagine a politics without a lie? Do you think the world will gets better like if these lies doesn’t exist? I do wonder how our human world will survive without lies. Is it lies really needed? Is it lies really controls politics? Sorry for so being optimistic but I do believe that statistically “No man in our world lives without a lie in his lifetime”. Good or bad he still lies. By the way Sorry if I didn’t mention the Three lies because for me lie is lie.

Excellent quote Tatiana to ponder about. You know I don’t really believe in stats, I find it that they just don’t make sense, especially that they sometimes may decision considering that stats are based on the 1% of the population, and more scary that sometimes people alter numbers on the end to make them look good – just put the damn pin bow and run! lol lol….boy you got me going, lol….Hope all is well my dear!
