This is an other useful for some and useless for others rant.
It’s for a few weeks now that I am following the news about
the Second Life game. Online but also on tv. No one could
predict how successful for some this venture will become,
but in Germany, a lady has become a Millionaire by selling
cyber land, houses and what not that is used in there.

“How fascinating”, I thought, and went to take a look there
myself. It is even better than places like MySpace, although
the movements that are made by the participants there are
less “real looking” than I was thinking before getting in it.
The “flying around” is cool, but it cannot make you feel like
you are a bird of some kind…

I am not against the game, and do not see it as the “danger”
described by many. It could be a danger only for people that
are mentaly unstable, and for maybe younger teens also.

And maybe if I had more free time than I would have taken part in
this Second Life game. This is not the case however, and I am
with very little free time, plus, for me it’s totally useless to spend
my hard earned cash for a game, instead of making the real life
that I am living better.
