Sounds pretty appealing…in theory. It’s one of those things one might hang on the wall to keep thinking in a possitive way and feel as a strong person. But personally, I’d find living by any standarts too stressful – yes, including my own standarts

I think what also goes along with this is adjusting your standards as time goes by to establish what will allow you to have a good and happy life.
Too often the personal standards we set for ourselves become our own prison of torment as we focus more on achieving things than actually enjoying life and contributing to society.
Be kind to yourself when you set the height of the bar.

I disagree with this statement because when someone doesn’t have any standards to live by, what does that person really stand for? Only when someone sets standards for himself/herself does that person live life. Otherwise, we are just like weeds blowing in the wind – going with whatever is easiest!
