Shocking Video – Anne, Britain’s Oldest Circus Elephant Beaten
This video here absolutely broke my heart… Be aware that the graphic content of it could make you cry like it did with me. And I keep wondering what makes some of the human beings behave like sadistic idiots?
Animal Defenders International has called for a ban on the use of wild animals in UK circuses after the organization released a shocking video of a 57 year-old arthritic circus elephant being hit 48 times by her caretaker. And I so much hope that this ban will be a fact very soon.
Anne the Asian elephant was filmed being struck with a metal pitchfork, kicked in the face and body and shackled by heavy chains in the winter quarters of the Bobby Roberts Super Circus in Polebrook – UK. The video shows the elephant being hit 48 times, and isn’t this terrible?

In Sumatra Indonesia, elephants are highly protected animals. They live in national parks. Thanks for the Video..

Oh My God. I can’t believe what I just watched. How can some “people” be so cruel? I’m sure this happens more than we know, and is the main reason why circus elephants sometimes snap and turn on their handlers. This is more than cruel. I can only hope that karma catches up to those that abuse animals.

I strongly agree that wild animals should be banned in circuses. Animals life is being gambled by some of sadistic owners who just want to exchange them for money and even abused them for personal interests.

Wild animals should be in places they could grow and live free. They shouldn’t be use for any shows. They do have life too like us. And look just what that man did. Cruel and selfish acts. they should be punish in ways how they treat these wild animals.

That was horrible! Very nice article for the people to know and also the international wild life police so they can take actions! People dont know that animals also do get sick and some are chronic sickness yet they dont understand.

That has to be one of most cruel and disgusting acts I have ever seen. People like this should have to endure the same punishment they put the animals through. Who in their right mind chains an elephant to the ground? Seriously, I truly appreciate that you posted this because this is the only way the truth is brought to the surface. Though it is sad we cannot rely on our own kind to respect animal life, without individuals such as yourself these sicko’s would get away with literal murder.
